On their debut 7", Delivery unveil a restless and neurotic blitz over four tracks that fuses urgent garage-rock together with nervy post-punk and weirdo new-wave smarts.
Formed in lockdown by Rebecca Allan (Gutter Girls, Blonde Revolver) and James Lynch (The Vacant Smiles, Kosmetika), and now rounded out by Lisa Rashleigh (Soursob), Daniel Devlin (Heir Traffic, House Deposit) and Seamus Whelan (The Vacant Smiles), ‘Yes We Do’ leans into off-kilter home production quirks as opposed to the group’s fully realised live sound, each track powered by a propulsive combo of robotic programmed beats mashed with live drums against a stack of sniping tunnel-vision guitars and buzzing synthesisers.
"I've been super into Delivery since their first gig at BMF, and their first track from the ALTA compilation courtesy of Blow Blood. They step away from the same old post-punk that's dominating the scene at the moment and incorporate pop song techniques and even some psych to give themselves a point of difference. I think this 7" really demonstrates the tightrope they're balancing on, but somehow they strut across it with ease."
